Pluralist hedonism: The winners of the 2023 Eat Drink Design Awards

The 2023 Eat Drink Design Awards spanned the breadth of the stylistic spectrum from cafes, bakeries and dessert shops with tight floor plans to transportive restaurant and bar experiences.

“Australians embrace coexisting cultures,” the jury said. “Our appetite for good design is insatiable.”

“The jury noted several maximal spaces layered with sensory materials and bold features that lean confidently into hedonism,” they continued.

“Ambition is also there in many high-concept projects that have been exceptionally crafted.
