November issue of LAA out now

Our annual awards issue of Landscape Architecture Australia offers a moment to reflect on the opportunities and challenges that have shaped the industry in 2020. The National Landscape Architecture Awards presented in these pages encompass a peer-judged collection of projects from across Australia and celebrate the contribution of the profession, through research and practice, to progressive and enduring design in evolving contexts. This year, we also include coverage of the 2020 AILA Chapter Awards in recognition of the very valuable work undertaken at the state and territory level. Together, the awards programs provide a significant survey of exemplary projects from around the country and demonstrate the power of landscape architecture to address urban and regional challenges. To continue to shape an equitable and resilient future, we must continue to work together as an industry, a profession and a discipline, and to actively seek out new collaborative relationships, knowledge and skills in the task of negotiating current social and environmental challenges.
